Before After

I am hanging out at home alone today. I had to come home to empty the mailbox, the dehumidifier and the cat litter box and to fill the cat’s water and food bowls. I also had to participate in our city’s one-day only free electronic waste disposal drop-off. Oh and I had to call my dentist. I have a stupid temporary crown that was popping off EVERY time I opened my mouth. I had to call and ask if was okay that I had “cemented” it in place with Fixodent. I tried to call him before I did it, but he was out of the office and didn’t have an emergency number. I figured it was better to ask forgiveness than to swallow the crown, to have food get under there and eat away at the tooth that has all the enamel shaved away or to remove the temporary crown and allow the tooth to move so that the new crown will not fit properly. Besides, it is not like I used Super-Super Glue. When I called, the receptionist told me that she thought that would be fine, but that they usually advise that the tooth be replaced with vaseline. I am glad I didn’t get to talk to them first. Can you imagine putting petroleum jelly in your mouth… on purpose. Yuck!

So, while I was waiting around I made an appointment and did this ~ I have thought about going back and asking some of the poofiness be cut away from the sides. But, I thought I should get used to seeing myself in the mirror first. I wore my hair like this for years and years when I was in the Army. Somehow I liked it much better when I was young and thin. But, I think it still looks better than long, straight and graying. My mom has always liked my hair short. I changed the time that this entry will post so that she will see the new me before you all do. Giving birth to me does give her a place of honor. :D

Hope all is well! My mom is still in town so I am still blogging light.

Your hair looks great either way. I don’t think the sides are too poofy either. Too bad you can’t change the style according to your moods. Do you remember that big doll everyone had when we were kids? You could pull the ponytail long, or pull the hair back to a short bob. Think how convenient that would be.

It looks GREAT! ( And I don’t think it’s too poofy, either.) I actually like the fullness/body – It compliments your face very nicely and highlights your eyes! Very Pretty!
