Brotherly Love

Or not…

I LOVE my brother!

I can’t tell. Do you think an adult is telling the kids they have to put their arms around each other for this photo and Beverly is just cooperating better than David is? Or, can it be that she is devilishly smiling because she realizes she is annoying her little brother. I love this month’s photo; it is perfectly goofy! These kids will fit right in our rather unconventional family.

I wasn’t as happy with the information that came with the updates. Our monthly updates usually only contain a photo and height and weight information. Sometimes, depending on which employee of NLL is writing the updates, there is a little small talk too. The photo and statistics I suppose are to provide us with a health history. Well, this month the kid’s weights just have to be wrong. That is unless you all think that David looks 13 pounds heavier than in last months photo. And, I hope Beverly’s weight isn’t right. If it is, she has lost two more pounds. At four, she weighs only 1 pound more than she did at two.

But, the worst part of our update is that apparently Beverly’s adoption dossier is still in MOI. Her passport hasn’t been requested. David and Beverly entered MOI on the same day and David’s dossier was signed out on October 2. On October 18, there was quite a bit of movement from that office. The rumor on the Internet was 150 files. That number was changed to 107 and then to 30. The 30 number came from an orphanage director in Haiti so I am kind of thinking she might have a more accurate number. Who knows? But, what is clear is that a lot of records cleared that step on the same day. I was rather hoping that I was in that large group.

Oh well, keep on swimming ~ God is sovereign and is in charge even when all I see is red tape.

I have no idea if they were “co-erced” into hugging or not, but they sure are CUTIES!!!

God has your little girl’s paperwork tightly under control. I pray that your family here will be being prepared to welcome them home during this wait.

As for the weight discrepancies, our public health nurses had a tough time getting accurate height and weight mesurements on the kiddos. I wouldn’t put too much stock in it, just feed them super-healthy treats when they get home.

    Blessings to all of you,
    Bobbie

    Oh those EYES!
They are both just too precious! ( and their weights must be ‘off’. David doesn’t look that much bigger, and although Beverly looks on the petite side – she seems to have grown quite a bit since you started posting their photos.

I pray that Beverly’s paperwork gets straightened out soon!!!

Yes, I’d definitely say the weights are off. Something just doesn’t sound right (or look right)~ neither of them looks that much different in size from the last picture.

They’re simply adorable children! I’ve said it a million times, but I can’t wait ’til they’re home where they belong.

Oh, I’m now “published” too~ two of my reviews made The Old Schoolhouse magazine this month! Yeah!

I’m sorry. That is such a frustrating place to be in. I’ll be praying for Beverly’s paperwork to catch up to where David’s is and for both of them to be here soon.

You know what, Beverley looks healthier – and about weight.. I don’t know that only a few pounds from 2- 4 is such an anomaly. That first year and a half is such a time of growth, but from 2-4.. it seems that curve really slows down. I don’t know how much Janney weighs.. but I do know there’s such a vast difference in all kids. I know you want to feed her and get some control over all that.. but Janney was visiting with her friend Jamie the other day, and Jamie is 5 – a good 18-20 months older than Janney.. and yet Janney is only an inch shorter than Jamie.. and Jamie is much chunkier – Janney’s a bean pole.

May Abba Father have both David and Beverley protected under the shelter of His wings..

Well, I guess any movement of the paperwork is a step in the right direction. I’ll be praying that it all gets through as it should, and soon. Wonderful picture of those two darlings!

Dealing with another fibro flare up right now, so I’m not writing too much today. Just wanted to drop in and say hey. :-)
