I’ll be voting for:

In response to Independent Conservative’s entry, Super Tuesday Coming to Tennessee, I’ll Pass!, I wrote:
Well, I am not entirely happy with any of the candidates either, but I will not miss my opportunity to have my voice heard. I will be going to the high school cafeteria tomorrow night at 6:30 and casting my vote for Ron Paul.
The size of government and the amount of influence the government has over its citizens has increased. No matter who is elected president I believe it will continue to increase, but I hope that this “progress” can be slowed by electing a president who understands that the government is encroaching on my freedoms and will make a stand to stall that encroachment. Ron Paul seems to be the only candidate that understands the constitutional role of the federal government. A limited government will allow me to continue to have the freedom to educate my daughter at home without government oversight so that I can teach her that she is the crowning glory of God’s creation and not an evolutionary accident. A limited government will allow me to teach my children that God, not man, defines what is right and wrong, what is spiritual and what is ordinary, what elevates a man and what lowers him or her. And, I can do this without being concerned that me (or my spiritual leader) will be charged with a hate crime.
Finally, Ron Paul seems to be the only candidate that understands that government programs cost money. The average American works 4 months out of the year to pay taxes or about 3 hours a day.
“Until we can reestablish a condition under which the earnings of the people can be kept by the people, we are bound to suffer a very severe and distinct curtailment of our liberty.” President Coolidge
Independent Conservative responds:
Given his views, I doubt you’d allow the man you’re endorsing to teach your child.
True! However, I am not asking Ron Paul to educate my children. I am asking him to protect my right to choose who disciples my children. My husband and I have made our taking personal responsibility for the discipling of our children a priority. We have at times chosen to allow our child to sit under the teaching of someone else, even the public schools. However, when we agree to allow someone else to educate our children and shape who he or she becomes, we have to trust that person to represents my husband and I well. If mandatory public school education becomes a reality, I will lose my freedom to choose who teaches my child.
Next, I understand that there are racists who align themselves with the ideology that a smaller government is better. These people have decided that with a smaller federal government they will be able to advance their own views. I also agree that the founding fathers had a great deal of difficulty implementing the ideal of “all men being created equally.” But, Ron Paul is not personally a racist; he has been endorsed by Nelson Linder, the Austin branch President of the NAACP.

Your first video described what I have learned sense I have lived outside of my own country. It is so hard to share what I have come to know of my home country and see people I know seem to be in a mist about what is REALLY happening or has happened. Thank you for posting this. This is SOOOOOOOO TRUE.
Blessings and ((hugs)) my SSiC

But is Ron Paul pro-choice?
.
From what I understand, he is.
.
Ron Paul is not pro-choice. He is on record as stating, “As an O.B doctor for 30 years who delivered over 4000 babies I can assure you that life begins at conception.” What he does say is that all acts of violence (murder, manslaughter, rape, etc.) under our US Constitution are dealt with at the local level. Maintaining the balance between state and national government is essential to maintaining our freedom.
To hear what Ron Paul says about this subject, there is a YouTube video addressing it.

OK. He thinks it’s not a federal issue.
I’m not sure I agree with that, but I do understand it.
Thanks.
