I met Jodee Kulp and her daughter Liz in 2007 at the FASD Teen-Adult Conference Camp . Last month she came across my blog and emailed me with an offer that was too good to be true. You see, Jodee Kulp publishes books. I love books! She wanted to send me a bundle of books.
I am one happy lady!
Almost 4 years ago, Marissa and I read The Best I Can Be Living with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome by Liz Kulp and co-authored by Jodee Kulp. Marissa had just been diagnosed with partial Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. It was the book I used to open a dialogue between her and I about what it would mean to Marissa. Unlike other books I had found, this book is a first-person account about what it is like to live in a world that isn’t going to understand you. The Long Way To Simple by Stephen Neafcy was on my wish list on Shelfari. Stephen is also living with fetal alcohol syndrome. I am looking forward to reading this book too!
So thank you Jodee!
